Surviving Flash Freeze in Arc Raiders means keeping indoor cover within reach, checking accessible Snow Shelters, and extracting before another loot stop puts your materials at risk. Laser Levels are Epic-tier Outpost materials found on Pendola Pass, and shelter shelves offer a strong search opportunity during the event. Browsing ARC Raiders Items is separate from securing your upgrade materials through a successful extraction.

Make Shelter Access Your First Decision

Flash Freeze exposure damages your health, so choose a reachable shelter rather than chasing a distant location across open ground. Snow Shelters become accessible during the event, but not every shelter opens at once. A remembered doorway is not enough to justify the trip.

Before deploying, check the displayed Pendola Pass condition. Choose a normal deployment for a dedicated shelter attempt rather than assuming a previous raid's conditions still apply.
Before the weather changes, identify nearby indoor cover and an alternative route toward extraction.
When Flash Freeze begins, open the map and look for white tent icons identifying accessible Snow Shelters.
Approach the nearest practical option, checking the entrance for other Raiders before committing.
Inside, inspect the shelving toward the back, then check the remaining exposed surfaces and containers if conditions allow.

The white tent icons are the useful access feedback: they identify which shelters to consider during the current event. They do not confirm that a Laser Level is waiting inside. An accessible shelter can still have no target item, or another Raider may have reached it first.

Laser Levels can appear as loose loot, so opening storage boxes is not a complete search. Look directly at the shelves before leaving. If the entrance is contested, use your alternative cover instead of spending health trying to force your way through.

Use One Fallback, Not a Full Map Circuit

Cielo Sereno Observatory is the main alternative when no nearby shelter offers a safe approach. Almatera Station is useful when your route already passes through it. Pick one fallback before moving rather than turning every unsuccessful shelf check into a tour of Pendola Pass.

Location        Search Priority        When to Leave
Snow Shelters        Rear shelving, then other surfaces and containers        Access is unsafe or the search is complete
Cielo Sereno Observatory        Control rooms and searchable metal containers        Checked rooms offer no reason to remain
Almatera Station        Station shelves, train seats, and tables        The practical interiors on your route are checked

The observatory sits in northeastern Pendola Pass. Start with its control rooms, checking exposed surfaces and nearby containers before moving into the next connected space. Extend into maintenance tunnels only while the area remains manageable.

At Almatera Station, finish one train interior before entering another so you can track which seats and tables you inspected. The locked room is an extra opportunity, not a requirement for every attempt. Rechecking empty surfaces does not create another loot opportunity.

Extract for the Upgrade, Not Another Container

Reserve three Laser Levels for the Outpost expansion from Level 3 to Level 4. The same upgrade also requires 40 Sheet Metal and three Insulation Rolls. Laser Levels are materials, not combat equipment, and collecting them does not replace earlier Outpost project requirements.

Carry a familiar weapon, recovery supplies, and enough free inventory space for the materials you intend to keep. Set your stopping point before deployment. Finding your final required Laser Level should usually end the dedicated search; finding the first can also justify leaving rather than demanding all three from one raid.

After extraction, open your Outpost interface and check the expansion requirements against your stored materials. If the Outpost is unavailable, inspect the project directly and check its objective state. A missing notification marker alone does not establish that progress failed.

Laser Levels cannot be crafted, purchased from merchants, or obtained by recycling other materials. A failed search calls for a different accessible location or a better surface check, not repeated workstation visits. Keep the first three reserved until the expansion is complete.

Before your next deployment, check your Outpost shortages, choose one nearby search destination, and identify an exit route. If you plan to buy ARC Raiders Items, keep that decision separate from the in-raid plan: check current shelter markers, search exposed shelving, and extract once you secure the material you came for.
